The
mission of the Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center is to enrich the lives of our
senior community by providing programs, activities and services directed at
medical and physical skill levels. From our active independent Senior Center to
our structured, protected Alzheimer's program, there is something for everyone.
We seek to preserve the dignity of our seniors in a manner consistent with our
Jewish heritage.
The Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center, incorporated in 1991, is located on Nob Hill
Road in Sunrise. Our Center is a hub of social, educational and recreational
activities for seniors in the North West Broward area. We offer more than 60
classes each week.
The Kurt and Alice Walter Adult Day Care Pavilion houses the Adult Day
Care/Alzheimer's Respite Programs. These programs provide a structured, safe
environment for physically and mentally challenged seniors.

The Jewish Federation of
Broward County.
The Alzheimer's Respite program
is partially funded through State General Revenue funds through the Florida
Department of Elder Affairs and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of
Broward County. The Cantor Center is a transportation provider for the Broward
Transit TOPS program.

Help lessen your chances of
spreading and getting the flu:
Doctors say to gargle twice daily with warm salt water, Listerine or to
drink warm liquids. Add foods with Vitamin C to your diet. The CDC
suggest washing hands frequently or use an alcohol based hand rub, keep
your hands off your face, and cover your nose and mouth with a tissue
when you cough or sneeze and throw it away.

Leo Goodman Senior Complex is the shining star of senior services in NW
Broward County. On our campus sits the Daniel Cantor Senior Center,
the Kurt and Alice Walter Adult Day Care Center, the Aaron and
Frances Levey Senior Residence and the Sam and Adele Borger
Senior Residence.
